This is an electric wall oven about 20 years old.
It is not reaching set temperature reliably. I have to set it 50-75 degrees higher, then it will reach the desired temp eventually, then I have to set it back or it will eventually overshoot.
I'm guessing the sensor is at fault, but I can't find this exact part number on any of the web sites in order to buy a replacement.
Any suggestions? It's otherwise a good oven and I'd rather not replace it until I'm ready to redo the whole kitchen.

I also cannot find info on a JAP19. There is info on a JBP19 series Replacement parts for jbp19 models | AppliancePartsPros.comYou could click on the picture of the sensor and then use the one inch grid to see if the sensors match physically. You could call/email AppliancePartsPros sometimes units will not show up on a search but they have other means of finding the parts. Note this usually must be a US unit for them to have info on it. I would check that both elements are OK often this is the cause of long preheat times. I am assuming that the stove top elements all work OK. Following is a good link with info on how to check the sensor. http://www.applianceaid.com/elecrange.htmlCheck out 6, 7, 20 and 21. |
