In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the range.

The part number you posted (W10181986) is for the oven sensor, which has nothing to do with this error code. If you replaced the control board, what is the part number of it?
If the range is less than a year old, it should be under the warranty. Gene.

I'm experiencing same issue with a Whirlpool SF114PXSB2 gas range. After about 10 minutes of pre-heating, the unit errors out with F2 and touch pad is unresponsive. The only way to clear it is to unplug for 30 seconds or so. I can plug it back in and turn the oven back on w/o the error code, but I think oven is running hot. Replaced temp sensor and control panel but issue not resolved. Sensor wiring checked out OK with multimeter. Unit is 2-3 years old.
Any ideas out there? Last edited by dpkurtz807 : 11-06-2010 at 08:33 AM. |

I've already returned the Control Panel for credit and was planning on doing the same for the sensor.
Parts installed: AP4321499 (W10108320) Control Panel AP4326911 (W10181986) Oven Sensor (both ordered from appliancepartspros.com) |

There are two parts in this range with the first word "control". They are:
1./ "control panel" - the part with the key pad attached to it and 2./ "control board" or "electronic control" which controls all oven functions. According to the manufacturer instructions the "F2" error code means a shorted key and suggested repair is to replace the control PANEL. The part you replaced is the control BOARD. That's why it did not fix the problem. Gene.
