Model Number: 22-RW-4-49 Brand: Magic Chef Age: More than 10 years
My partner was doing some testing for gas leaks and messed up the oven in our 5th wheel trailer. It's a Magic Chef 4 burner oven, model
He unscrewed the silver nut that holds the thermocouple to the back of the oven control. Didn't come apart as he planned, but after he re-tightened the nut, there are now two problems: 1. Now when the oven pilot light is turned on, there is gas all the time to the pilot... like the thermocouple is "hot". 2. Also the secondary pilot and main oven burner doesn't come on until the dial is turned 450 degrees. Anything less than that shuts the burner off, but the pilot stays lit with the control set at pilot on. The pilot does go out when you turn the knob to off. Is there a way to adjust the thermocouple that goes into the back of the oven control?? Does it slide in all the way? It hasn't worked right since he unscrewed the silver nut. Thanks in advance. |
