Magic Chef gas oven temperature only reaches 350 when set at highest marked setting of 500. Oven burner does double-duty as broiler burner also.

Interestingly, when control knob is turned beyond 500 to limit of travel at BROIL, broiler begins cycling off and back on after 13 minutes, maintaining an oven temp of 450. I've never broiled anything more than 10 minutes, but it seems broiler should stay on constantly, without cycling on and off (?).

I'm looking for troubleshooting tips and a DIY solution. I have an LCD auto range digital multimeter - thanks.
