Gas oven won't light
Model Number: PG0191 U Brand: Modern Maid Age: More than 10 years
I have a Modern Maid double oven, the top oven won’t light, the igniter turns red but the gas does not flow, the igniter will turn off after about 10 min. the broiler and bottom oven works fine.
Model Number PG0191U Serial Number 6773460 Igniter by Norton Model Number is 501 No one has this igniter Last edited by tpon : 05-16-2008 at 05:28 PM.

I cant seem to pull anything up on the model you listed
please check the model and serial tag on the oven. In most cases the glowbar ignitor itself is responsible for this. It is connected in series with the burnner valve. The ignitor can still operate but at the same time not allow enough current to pass through it to open the burnner valve so that the gas can flow through to the burner.
