I have a 20 year old cooktop, it's time to replace the inserts and of course they no longer make my original black ceramic units.
I would like to go to a frame less insert so my cookware sits flat (my large pots will not work on this top as the SS frame hold them up off the surface, I actually cut a 1/4 piece of flat copper as a base between top and pan to make the pans work PITA)
So my question is can I use any rear pin insert as a replacement. The manf. tag says 6.87 KW 5.77KW.
