Model Number: PRSG304 Brand: Thermador Age: More than 10 years
Hi All
My four point Gas Re-Igniter has failed and will not spark. I ordered a replacement from a local supplier and they shipped a six point gas re-igniter with a label Tytronics / Bosch. When I installed it, it would continuously spark leading me to believe my original diagnosis that my four point re-igniter had failed. The part came in a opened box and looked to me like it had been installed. After a huge ordeal the local supplier said they had shipped the wrong part, the six point re-igniter, was not the correct part and the refunded my money. They then said Thermador did not have a replacement part available. On this site they have a six point available, part number AP2836547, is this the correct replacement part? If it is not the correct part, what is the correct part and availability? Thanks for all your help, we have been two weeks without a stove and we are getting hungry for hot home cooked food. Hello, Yes, the 6 point module was correct. Rather than stocking two modules, a four and six point, they got rid of their four point. Most of the time a see continuous sparking after a new module install it's a miswire. The location of the wires are as follows: front left to S1; rear left to s2; rear right to s3; front right to s4. Terminal s5 and s5 are left bare, unless you want to ground them to chassis. Other continuous sparking causes are poor grounding and reverse polarity, but, since this wasn't a problem before hand, it's probably not an issue now. KC |

I am replacing the old 4-point re-igniter with a 6-point one. How do you detach the old 4-point re-igniter from my thermador cooktop? I have it already exposed and accessible. I removed a screw, but a lot of wires are connected to it, and I do not see where they attach. Thanks!
