Default flame flicker problem
Model Number: pgm 365   Brand: Dacor   Age: 1 - 5 years

The large burner on my new Dacor 365 (natural gas) has a simmer section (inside) and a main section (outer ring). If I slowly increase the setting, the simmer section comes on, then the main section lights. If I increase it still further, the main section increases but the simmer section starts to flicker (part of the flame goes off and on at about a 2 second interval). Then, at the highest setting, part of the simmer burner goes off (no flame). The part that goes off is next to the igniter, so the igniter starts. This happens only when there is a pan above the burner. This has happened since we got the unit (15 months ago), but it's worse now.

This seems like a gas flow problem. The other, smaller simmer burner does not have this problem, but it has a slightly different design (air/gas holes are different). Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions as to how to adjust this?

Thanks in advance.
