Model Number: grmp3650sw-1 Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My mother-in-law asked me to take a look at her faulty small/front/left burner. She tried a new element assembly and it still didn't work. I tried switching the small/rear/right element and it didn't work either. I put the original suspected faulty burner in the rear hole and it worked just fine there. So the problem is no the burner.
Using my voltage tester, I am getting 110v to each prong on the burner element. I even tried grounding the tester right to the back of the burner "socket" and touched the positive prong to each element of the two element probes (as close to the burner as possible). 110v on each one!! I tested the working burners and they test out the exact same way. I have tried 3 different burners in the fault hole. What am I missing? It really seams like a simple system. Thanks in advance |
