igniter keeps sparking even after lighting up
Model Number: 36vgsu Brand: -other- Age: 5 - 10 years
i have a 36" 6 burner viking cooktop. occassionally, the igniter keeps sparking for awhile after the burner is lit, but does stop. this occurs only on some of the burners.
now, the burners that this affected do not light unless i use a match. the igniter keeps sparking even after this is lit and only stops when i shut the burner off. recently, a teapot exploded over the stove and the water spilled on the unit. water did drip from the bottom of the pan inside the cabinet what can i take a part, clean? anything on the top?
