Model Number: 27" self cleanig Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Set oven to Bake @ 350. The top elements (broiling element) comes on and heats the oven very hot. This display indicates the oven reaches 350 and clicks off, but the top element continues to heat to 500+ when I manually turn oven off.
The temperature sensor was replaced last month. Does this sound like the controller needs to be replaced? Thanks |

Most likely the problem is a bad control board. For more accurate advise we need the complete model number of the oven.
