I need to remove and replace the range control board part #8524212 on my 2004 Kenmore Range. It has 6 bent metal pins holding it. Do I straighten or twist the pins to remove it? Do you know where I can purchase a repair manual showing the details. Or can you provide the information? All help is appreciated.

I figured it out. Disconnect the key pad ribbon and the rest of the wires. In the middle and at the bottom, behind the board is a metal lever. Pull this lever down. Push in on the board and slide to the left. Pull the top out and down. The metal pins will slide thru the top slots and then thru the bottom slots. Reverse the procedure to install the new board and push the lever up to lock in place. Reconnect the ribbon and wires.

I am doing the same project now. Unfortunetely I didn't think ahead and label the wires. Long story short there is a green wire but I am unsure where it goes as the only two open spots left is on the control board itself and one on a burner control
