my triple element on my range isn't working properly.

the second and third burner operate properly. the inside single burner does not work.

i have traced the parts to being - ap4100024 (burner) and - ap4101550 (selector switch) made by whirlpool

my question is how easy is it to lift off the ceramic cooktop, and should i run a continuity meter from the switch to the burner.

any suggestions as to what the cause would be?

i am guessing that it may not be the burner because of the other two burner rings working properly
