hotpoint oven baking elements and broiler elament dont shut off with themostat
Model Number: r c777 ow3 wh Brand: Hotpoint Age: More than 10 years
having trouble with bake and broil elements in my 40 inch stove both sides when on bake elament turns on and wont shut off with thermostat. but you can here thermostat click. this is true with both sides. when on broil broiler elements come on even when temp switch is not set to broil and they dont shut off either will stay running. only way to shut off is by turning selector switch to off. same with both sides all these problems started after replacing large oven bake element. after old one burned out and created a big flash off light and noise.every thing else appears to be working. clock and 4 top burners please help i really like this stove and dont want to by new one. its built like the titanic. lol
