Model Number: RCIE75N Brand: Frigidaire Age: More than 10 years
Hi,
I have a 1968 Frigidaire Double Oven Range. The right hand oven ignores whatever temperature you set it at and continues to heat up. Sort of like it is stuck in "clean" mode. This was a sudden change and didn't happen gradually over time. This oven is connected to the clock and the automatic cook controls. The cook controls offer timed cooking options as well as a delayed start option. It also has a self cleaning option. My husband and I pulled the back off of it today, and checked that the capillary tube wasn't kinked or leaking. The thermostat is on a panel with what appears to be a timer of sorts. The number for the whole assembly is ro-53910-1 06-2263. We were able to remove the thermostat from the assembly and the part number on the thermostat is either KS04012 063362 or KS64012 0633662. The first digit is hard to read. I would like to repair this oven, because I really love this range! Any suggestions on what to do or where to find a new thermostat? Thanks!
