Model Number: RBS305PDQ10 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Following a strange power fluctuation/failure the other day, I noticed that the fan on the wall oven was running continuously when the power came back on - something that I did not think happened normally. I cycled the power and the fan continued to run but I didn't think much more about it. THe wife just told me that the oven no longer seems to function properly. When you dial up a temp, it no longer indicates "pre" and then signals that it has reached set temp. The burners both get hot but it doesn't seem to reach temp. I suspect the circuit board was fried by the power flux but didin't want to jump right to a $150 part without some confirmation. Anyone know if there is any self test built into that control chip/circuit?
Any suggestions for troubleshooting this? Thanks in advance! |
