Default flat igniter
Model Number: 3027223   Brand: Tappan   Age: More than 10 years   
igniter would glow, but would not open gas valve. so i ordered an igniter from this site and hooked it up , and it does not glow. is there any way to test the new igniter, or should i assume it is a bad part even though it is new.

i would think you could test continuity on this igniter but thats just my opinion.
