Open the cover of a cooktop
Model Number: J P651 0J2WH Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
One of the 4 push-down switch (#3 in the diagram) does not turn on one of the 4 burner. I have ordered a switch (part # AP2023620)
from your company to replace the bad one. But I have hard time to open the cover (#2 in the diagram) under the 4 knobs. I removed the knobs. There is only one screw on the north side of the cover. I unscrewed it. After that, I tried to use a screw driver to lift up the cover, but it didn't work. How do I remove the cover so that I can replace the switch? That cover has to be slid outward yourself before you could lift it up.
