Model Number: 911.47829100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 1 - 5 years
Upper oven will preheat but after reaching temp, will beep and then loses temperature. Realize both broil & bake elements are used to preheat so bake is probably not functioning. Turned on both bake cycle and clean and bake element did not get hot. Went to remove to check and one of the leads was fused and charred to the connector. Continuity check shows 0 ohms. Same as touching the leads of meter together when zero calibrating the meter. I expected it to be open, no resistence. Is the bake element bad or do I have another place I need to troubleshoot.
Thanks, John. ![]() Last edited by topgon05 : 04-05-2008 at 07:20 AM. |
