I started self clean cycle on my Kitchen Aid gas range yesterday. Left house for an hour. When I came back control panel showed PF and I think E3 (not absolutely sure of this one). I pressed cancel button and the doorlock clicked on and off repeatedly for a minute or so and then stopped and control panel cleared. It was then I noticed that the edge of the cupboards on either side of the stove were burned black - I'm lucky the house didn't burn down!!!
The oven works although I am afraid to use it. What is this???:eek:
