Model Number: RF378LXPB1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Whirlpool Ceramic Range that was in my house when I purchased it. I believe it was manufactured in 2005. Whirlpool has a 2-5 year limited warranty against the surface unit elements burning out but because I do not have the receipt they will not cover the repair. The left front element - which is a dual element does not function properly. It only heats the 6" single section and not the dual 9" outer area. If anyone knows what the problem might be I would greatly appreciate any assistance. I am not sure if it is the element or the switch or if it could be both. The inner 6" part of the element turns good and red and heats up quickly when the knob is turned, but I cannot get the outer coils to heat up.
Thanks for any assistance!! Melissa ![]() |
