Model Number: RF367LXKW0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Have a Whirlpool self-cleaning electric range model RF367LXKW0. The Bake function does not work correctly. The bottom of the food over cooks and the top is undercooked. The broil element does not come on. The bake element turns red when baking and when the controls are set to broil the broil element turns red also. I understood that both elements would cycle during the bake setting. Is the control board the problem?

The Bake and the Broil heating elements in your oven are energized in accordance with the cycle chosen and never work together.
I would recommend to measure the oven temperature using a regular oven thermometer to find out what is wrong. Place the thermometer in the middle of the oven and set the control for 350°F. Wait about 15 minutes after the preheat is done, read the temperature and post the result. Gene.
