Top burners, ignition work fine. Oven dead. I set the oven temp, there's an initial double-click sound, but then no gas sound (usually you hear the gas for 45 seconds, then the igniter lights the gas).

At first I assumed the igniter died and needed replacing. But why no gas at all? So, is it the safety valve?

Not to sound like too much of a dummy but how do I tell if the safety valve was simply tripped and reset it -- or, tell if the safety valve (or even the spark module) is the culprit?

I just want to make sure I order the right part. If it's the safety valve, I imagine the gas would have to be shut off entirely, right?
