I just purchase a new safety valve and installed it. The oven still does not lite. The oven igniter glows a brite white and there is 120vac at the valve. The gas is on at the wall and for the oven which has a separate shut off built in.
Bad Valve? I just purchased it from AppliancePartsPros.

Hi Kale,

Most likely the problem is a bad igniter and not the gas valve.

You can learn how the oven igniter works from one of previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...1897-oven-wont-lite.html

- The part number for the oven igniter is AP205873

Here are the break down diagrams for the Magic Chef range Model 31FA-3KX
