Whirlpool built in (single) oven not heating
Model Number: RBS275PDQ6 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
My Whirlpool built-in single oven (model #RBS275PDQ6) would not heat. When I select the options "Bake and Start", it ask the question Start? Could some one enlighten me as to what hte problem might be and what part (number) it might need.

The first thing I would do is turn off the oven circuit breaker for a few minutes.
If it would not help, open the control panel and unplug the control panel ribbon cable from the control board. Clean it with a pencil eraser. Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for a hairline cracks, using a magnifying glass. Clean the connector on the board, using an electronic contacts cleaner or isopropyl alcohol. Be gentle and make sure it's dry prior to reconnect. Reconnect everything it give it a try. If it still does not work, replace the control panel.
