I was wondering if you could help me. My wife's over quit. I have 240 volts going into the stove at the bottom. I have 120 volts on both legs going to the printed ckt board that controls the oven. I have no voltage going to the elements, either one. I have 120 volts when measuring at the connection end of the elements to ground. When I measure across the elements, I have no voltage. I disconnected the power and found around 10 ohms of resistance across each of the elements. Shouldn't the elements have 240 volts across when measured by probing at each end at the same time. I suspect the printed ckt board is bad. Could you confirm this.

Yes, I would agree, that you need the clock control. The part # is 316207529. It sounds like you have checked everything. Tom ApplianceEducator.com - Parts

The reason you see 120 volts at the elements is that one side of the element is connected to it's control relay, the other side is connected to the line (L1 or L2) so it is always live when measured to Neutral/frame.
Since the element is not dropping any voltage you see it at both sides of the element. |
