Hi-
I'm also having the left-hand XLO burners won't ignite/no gas flow problem.
I ordered the replacement potentiometer/simmer controller kit and got the pots on just fine.

My problem, I'm embarrassed to say, is I don't know how to remove the 'pans' that hold the actual burners, so I can even get past them to get to the simmer controller area.

The burners are fed by rigid gas lines connected underneath, so how do I detach the gas line to begin removing the pans? Or am I looking at this wrong?

Any and all help would be appreciated (in advance, even).
Have a great holiday season. I'll be cooking on half a stove top...

Arrgh!
