Model Number: sve47600b Brand: Jenn-Air Age: 5 - 10 years
My Jenn-Air oven will not bake above 300 degrees. The broil element cycles on and off but the bake element stays cold. Does that mean the element is bad, or could there be a something else that is wrong?...Is the broil element supposed to cycle on and off in the bake mode?...All help is appreciated...

Remove the Bake heating element as far as wires go and check for burned wire(s).
If there is nothing wrong, remove one of wires from the heating element and check for 240V while the control calls for Bake. Post your findings. Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model SVE47600B Gene. P.S. The Broil heating element is involved in the preheating cycle.
