We have a dual oven Maytag. The upper oven works great. The lower oven will turn on and heat to the set temperature. After about 2 cycles it will heat up and not turn off. The elements continue to stay on. We replaced the temperature sensor and it did nothing to solve the problem. I was told the next step is the control panel. This is a spendy item. Any other possibilities?

You may want to try the diagnostics.
I would say that the control board is at the top of the list.
Either a electronic component is going or the control relay contacts are pitted and are sticking closed after a few cycles.
