Model Number: fefl79fcc Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
The oven baking element in my oven blew up....sparks and all. We replace the element and now it still does not work. What should we try next.

Remove one terminal from the element, ( LIVE TESTS ) make sure it does not touch anything...turn on the bake cycle, measure the disconnected terminal (meter set to A.C.volts) terminal to ground...Now measure the loose bake terminal to ground you should get 120 volts A.C at both tests. ..Did you measure continuity on the element???? New, bad element....
