Model Number: FEFL79FCA Brand: Frigidaire Age: 1 - 5 years
Hello All,
I love to bake and the holidays are upon us. My oven has decided to take an early vacation. It seems to work fine when just using the range top. When I try to use the oven's bake or broil setting, they initially come on but then the entire unit shuts off about a minute later. Then, the power comes back after about 2 minutes and the clock display starts blinking like the unit was just plugged in. I replaced the Control Panel (EOC) thnking this was the culprit but did not solve the problem. I did a search and did read extensively through the forum but found nothing. Family coming; Please Help!!!! Thank You, Eric Ads By Google Related Models |

Here is a wiring diagram
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodin.../316441422.pdf Sounds like you have a bad/loose connection somewhere. If it should open (disconnect power) for a short time (less that a second) the EOC board (microprocessor) will reset. You would not even notice this on the stove top because it's controls are mechanical. Flip the breaker off. Check the receptacle in the wall. Check the connections at the units terminal strip. If all OK Check the connections in the panel at the circuit breaker. Check the wiring going to the EOC etc. If all OK Then it could be the line cord that is no good.

denman,
I followed your advice top to bottom excluding the re-seating the breaker(to hard to get to). I pulled each connection minus the stove top connections off the spade lugs and crimped them. I removed the power supply cord and reconnected it to the terminal. Then I loosed and re-tightened the connections leading to the rest of the unit from the terminal board. Kicked the breaker back on at 7:30pm. As of right now, the oven is kicking along at 400 deg. (up from 350) for 1 1/2 hours. I think we solved the problem! THANK YOU! Eric |
