THe oven does not start I assumed the ignitor was the problem as I have replaced it before (4-5 years ago). The broiler starts fine, but the oven portion is dead. I am assuming there may be a fuse or circuit breaker in behind it, but I have yet to pull the beast out. HELP!!! Joe

There are no fuses or any other safety devices. Check for 120VAC to the Bake igniter while the control calls for Bake. Post the results.

The old and new igniters are almost the same value, about 460 ohms. WHen I check for 120VAC on the lines, I get about 3vac leakage, but it does slightly change when the relay clicks on for the oven.

**** well, I decided to look at the control panel and found that when I oushed on the transformer, the igniter came on. I removed the board and resoldered C8, which really looked bad on one leg (had to scrap it, though it might me leaky), and the connection to E3 did not look so good. I am about to reinstall the boards and see, but I think this may be it. I will update again and thanks for your help Gene.

*****Update! I fired the oven two times id it lite up as it shold. I had not noticed beofre, but i looks like the igniter stays on for a long time as the oven heats up, which maybe normal, I just never noticed.
