Model Number: MER6769BAQ Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
the lower element in the top oven is not heating up. the upper element is, i can see it change color. also the upper element in the lower oven has the same problem, that one is not heating up as well. both parts have been replaced so they are brand new. i tested the voltage output to the elements, and instead of 240 like the operational element, the damaged element puts out only 140.

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for MAYTAG MER6769BAQ Freestanding - Double Oven - Electric | AppliancePartsPros.com Here is a tech sheet and a manual http://www.servicematters.com/maytag...s/16026020.pdf http://www.servicematters.com/maytag...s/16023416.pdf Try running the diagnostics to see if anything shows up. Looking at the wiring diagram nothing pops out that I can see. Did both elements go out at the same time as you may have 2 problems. First I would pull the elements and check them for resistance. It is not that uncommon to get a bad replacement element. Next pull the unit and check all the wiring for something obvious. Also check the back of the control board for a bad circuit path. After that all I can suggest is going over the unit with a meter for bad wires etc. Could be the control board but I would hate to replace it without knowing it is shot as it is not cheap. Hopefully someone who has actually seen this will jump in with a fix or a way to test/troubleshoot it. This may be one for a pro but they better know their stuff. You could try printing out a number of wiring diagrams and then mark the circuit paths for the different modes with a colored pencil perhaps something will then show up as common to give theses symptoms. Sorry I could not be of much help here.
