The oven was first only heating up to 250 degrees...by the time I got over to look at the oven it was not turn on at all. The oven has a BJ model thermostat with two tubes running from it to the oven. One is about 1/8" and goes to the hole for light the oven in the oven bottom pan. The other is a 7/8" tubing for the main gas suplly to the oven.

Now the oven will not light. The oven does not have a pilot light but the round port on the front of the bottom oven pan where you hold a match to light. If I remove the oven pan the 1/8" tubing end will burn a very small flame when a lighter is but directly to the end of it. But the burner will still not come on. The thermostat capillary tube is held at the top of the oven.

My questions are: Can the 1/8" lines, 7/8" line and the burner assembly be blown out with an air compressor to get the unit to work?...could the thermostat capillary be the problem and can I get a replacement for this old style?
Or is this requiring another thermostat / rebuild. If I remove the thermostat how can I cap of the gas to the thermostat so I can still use the burners?

Would appreciate any and all suggestions.
