I have a 4 burner GE cooktop . . 3 of the burners work fine . . the large burner will only 'spark' by turning the knob CCW past the Lite position to High and then turning slowly CW . . as you get close to the Lite position the ignitor will engage, lite the burner and then you can turn CCW to the desired flame . . is the problem the spark switch or the ignitor module ? and how do you actually get to those parts to replace them - from above ? below ? is there a secret ? thanks !

I have the same problem. Did you fix your problem? What part was needed? I am suspecting the switch under the knob is the culprit. My model is also the same as yours.
