I couldn't unscrew the light bulb, so I broke it (Yes, after throwing the circuit breaker!) and used pliers to remove the base. Unfortunately, the brass socket in the lamp holder also came out. I turned the power back on and screwed in a bulb to determine the 'status' of the lamp base, and now the light is always on. Will replacing the lamp holder (P/N PS 256 842) fix this problem? OR has something happened elsewhere?
I would have thought the front-panel oven light switch controlled the power before it got to the socket, but reading some of the posts here, it's more likely that this switch is wired to a relay on the control board. All other stove functions work.
