We have a 2 oven, upper Convection and lower standard GE Profile combo. The upper oven works fine. The lower one does not heat. When I select Bake, Broil or Clean, the panel acts as if it is initiating the task...it says (for example) BAKE ON and shows temp...but after about 20 seconds the screen goes blank. I feel no temp increase on either burner when trying the different selection (BAKE, BROIL, CLEAN). I pulled the lower element out of the back wall (with the wires still attached) and checked with a volt-ohm meter to see if any voltage was being applied to the burner when I selected "Bake" -- nothing. I've read a bit about control boards going bad and needing replacement. Are there other tests I should do? Are there separate control boards for upper and lower oven? Is this a job that a handy homeowner like myself could accomplish?

Thanks.
