Maytag oven model mgr5875qds natural gas

Oven has worked perfectly the past almost 5 years except for one little problem: when using the regular or convection bake mode from room or a low temperature, the first ignition takes a while from the time the oven was set to "bake". What this means is that gas builds up inside the oven and sometimes (rarely) would cause a mini explosion/boom inside when finally ignited. Once we get that initial ignition though, it works like a charm.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Broiler, ranges, everything else works like it should
