Hello,
Can someone please help me. I ordered parts from you several times in the past and the experience has always been top notch, but before I spend $$ on a part I wanted to get someone elses opinion on it.
Had the oven for over 2 years and not once had we ever tryed the warmer pad on the glasstop range, ya I know shame on me.
Turkey day arrives and we discover that the pad doesn't get warm. When we turn it on, the display goes shows on and says warm, then 2sec later the warm display disappears but the on element light stills shows somethg is on but the warmer element never gets warm or even close it.
Is it usually the element that would cause this or does someone thing something else.. Just dont want to buy a part and then another part, etc etc and money is just wasted.
Can someone please help.
Thanks

A valid Maytag model number consists of three or four letters followed by FOUR digits and three letters. The model number you posted, mer68775bab, does not look as a valid model numberunless it is not an American model.Gene.

Remove the smoothtop as instructed in the Service manual to access the warmer element. Remove the wires from the element and measure the resistance between its terminals as instructed in the Tech sheet. It suppose to be 130 Ohms to 145 Ohms. If the reading is incorrect, replace the warmer element. If there is no proper voltage to the warmer element while the control calls for heat and there is nothing wrong with the wires, replace the control board. - The warmer element Part number: AP4099065
