Hi,
Brand New to this forum. I have a 6 burner stainless steel Kitchen Aid Proline Gas Cooktop. Recently the main front middle burner (15K BTU) does not spark when I push the knob in a turn it to light it. There is no familiar click click when turned on but I can smell the gas coming out. It is a propane conversion and has been working great for 8 years.

I assumed it was the "ignitor" under the burner (it creates/displays the spark that ignites the flame- my term). However when I try and light the other burners, the "defective ignitor" sparks right up and I am able to light the burner by just turning on the gas. I was reading some of the other posts where it states a spark module may need to be replaced but it seems to be down in the knob somewhere that may be the problem. So I would appreciate any ideas as to what may be wrong.
I would very much like to repair this myself.

Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.
Michael
