My Amana Electric Convection oven will not heat. None of the three elements heat-up but the convection fan does come on. I have checked the broiler element with an OHM meter and it read above 20, I've heard between 20 and 40 is good I have checked the temp sensor and that to is good. ]I can't believe all three elements would go out at the same time so I think it must be somthing else.
I have looked on all the sites and have not found enough info on this Amana to trouble shoot this problem.

Thanks Mike

Here are your parts
Replacement parts for AMANA AOCS3040SS Walloven - Std Ele | AppliancePartsPros.com

Here is the tech sheet and manual

http://www.servicematters.com/m...ibrary/docs/16021875.pdf

First check your power. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker and the elements require the full 240 volts.
Flip the breaker off/on slowly a couple times.
Better yet measure it with a meter.
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts.
L1 to Neutral and L2 ti Neutral both should be 120 volts.

If OK it could be the Oven Hi-limit Thermostat is open.

Denman,

Thanks for the info I read the service manuals you posted. I will try the "component testing procedure" after work and keep you informed on my progress.

Thanks Mike

Denmen,

I followed the testing procedure and I did not receive any info. I burned the fuse on my OHM Meter so I will have to wait till tomorrow to get a new one and check for power like you suggested.

Denman,

I checked L1 and L2 and their is power. I have checked all the elements and they are within limits and continuity. I did check for power at the bake element individually and found that one leg would come on-and-off consistantly at a 30 second interval and their was a clicking sound from the relay module as this happens. I have the oven out and am going to take it apart to find that limiting switch.

I Checked the oven high limit/fan switch with an OHM meter and had no continuity. The circuit should be closed, so Im going to buy a set of alligator clip wires and bridge (by-pass) the oven high limit switch to see if that fixes it.

I researched further and the oven limit switch/ fan is suppose have an open circuit and the high temp limit switch is suppose to have a closed circuit. I guess these are not the problem.

I havn't given-up yet.

Starting to sound like the DLB relay contacts are not closing.

Either the contacts are shot, the relay coil is open or it is not getting power to the coil when it should.

I worked on it for two hours and could not get 240vac to the elements. I checked the double line Break and could here it clicking-on and off but still no 240vac. I will look into ordering a Transformer/relay board Monday.
When I receive it and install it I will let the site know if this solves the problem.
