I have an old wall oven that heats up but the temperature is way off. To get 350 degrees you have to set it to about 475 degrees. Should I replace the temperature sensor probe or buy a new wall oven. The temp. sensor goes for about $70 and I don't want to waste the money if there is more involved.

Check that both elements are OK.
Many ovens use both elements to get the unit up to temperature during preheat.

Both elements are working fine. I haven't yet checked the resistance reading of the temperature probe, but thats my next task.
