My husband removed the bottom element of our oven for replacement. we have yet to get the new element and my husband decided to place some food that we were preparing for dinner in the oven to keep warm and turned the switch to broil thinking that it wouldn't have any effect on the bottom element. there was a spark from the back of the stove and not he stove will not work at all other than the clock. upon further inspection of the back of the oven i saw that the yellow wire that was for the bottom element was attached to the back to the stove and it and it had a small balck smoke mark around it.we have taken the top panel off and inspected the wiring all seems fine. we have unplugged and plugged it in,changed the fuse, pushed a small re button that is beside the top left burner controller thinking it may be reset all with no results. if any one has an idea as to what may be the problem i would greatly appreciat it.
