Model Number: jtp86wof3ww Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
I have a GE combination microwave/oven. The oven is electric and appears to be operating normal, no error codes. When the bake or broil settings are programmed the fans comes and everything appears normal but the elements don't heat up. In the bake setting you can hear a periodic click and another click about 3 seconds later.
Coincidentally, I had removed the door to clean and replaced it with no problems. Ads By Google Related Models |

I could not find info on the given Model Number.
The following parts breakdown is for a JTP86WF3WW Body with microwave support replacement parts for GE JTP86WF3WW | AppliancePartsPros.com Getting tech info on GE is near impossible as they like to keep it a secret so the following are just comments. First check your power in. Flip the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker and the oven element require the full 240 volts while the microwave, oven control and lights only need half the line 120 volts. Better yet check it with a meter L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neytral and L2 to Neutral both should be 120 volts. Could be a wire has burned off in the unit somewhere. I do see that there is a bi-metal limit switch in the unit Item 158 in Section 1. This may be in the common wire of the oven elements and is open. Note it may be that it is just there to control the fan. Also I see a limit switch Item 159 in Section 1. Again may be like the above but is probably just a door latch control.
