My upper oven does not work on bake or broil, but microwave works. Is there a manual for this model? Or a schematic? Is there a common point of failure (such as a fuse)? If so, where is it located?
Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for any assistance. There are no fuses in your oven, but there is a high limit thermostat. Usually it is resettable (push button in the center) and it's located on the back of the oven. The oven has to be removed from the cabinet. Gene.

Gene. Gene- Pulled the oven- nothing on back but solid sheet covering top to bottom. No button. Do you have schematic for this model? Thanks

Unfortunately I can not find any diagrams and/or parts list for this model because it does not come up anywhere. Is this an American model?
The rear panel usually is removable and is secured with a few screws.
Gene.
P.S. Verify the model number.

The only model number I can find is on the right side of the upper oven door- alon with serial number. Model GMT 20. As far as I know, it is a US model. Thanks

Looks like the model number you posted does not come up due to its age but there suppose to be a high limit thermostat. Thermador always use them in their ovens. If there is nothing on the back then it can be on a side of the oven or, more rarely, on top of the oven cavity.
Gene.

The model you probably have is a CMT20 manufactured in the late 70's. It seems that you may have a bad hot wire relay or a burned wire connected to the relay. When you push the bake button the relay contacts close and power is supplied to the element. If you take the oven from the wall about 10'' there is a removable cover acrosss the top that you can see this part. One for each oven mounted on each side.3x6 with contacts visible from front. there is usually a schematic folded up and is usually on the left side howevever iif someone worked on the unit it may be in a different part of the compartment. There should be 220 v between #25 on the upper selector and H1 or H2 on the relay. One side of the bake element goes to #25 and the other goes to H1 or H2.[cant be sure without diagram]. Look for possible burned off power supply wire on relay. If you only registar 120v either the relay or selector is bad. There is a high temp cutout on the back under the cover but it is not the resettable type.richrackets@yahoo.com
