Default replacing console of Kicthenaid electric range/oven (ceramic top)
Model Number: KESH307HWH0   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have received the new glass console and am having difficulty completing the job. I can not connect the console to the mother board as the new part does not have a connector attached to the ribbon cable (Is this right??) Anyway, please describe the following:
1. Should a connector have been included??
2. If it is correct to ship the part without a connector, How do I complete the job? For example, do I have to order a new connector? If a connector is required, how do I attach the connector?? Does is require special tools?? and How do I remove the connector from the mother board without breaking it or the motherboard?? It seemed to be very solidly attached and the connector does not have the typical releases (or ears?) on the side for proper ribbon cable extraction.

If this job is too difficult or reqruires special tools, I would prefer just to send the part back

thanks
Don Mack
