The broiler does not heat on my Maytag MER5775QAB. I purchased and installed a new broiler element, problem still exists. The bake and cleaning functions work fine as well as all others. What do I need to do, replace next?

Wiring diagram seems to indicate that the thermal limiter (if your unit has one) would remove power from both bake and broil.

If this is correct then all that is left is a wire has burned off somewhere in the unit or the control board is shot.

I had the Maytag repair person make a visit, and he thinks is the clock module. I am already out of $38 for the broiler element and $65 for the service call. Would the $139 for the module fix it, or can it be something else and more money gone? Is it worth fixing given that is a stove bought in 2004, but was built in 2000?

Cannot say since I do not know the competence of your service tech. If the high limit is OK and the wires to the element are OK then odds are very high that the control board is the problem.

Again I cannot say. Depends on a lot of things re:
Do you like the unit?
Is it in good shape?
How much would a replacement unit that you would be happy with cost?
