I have an Amana Oven Model #AER5715QAW and purchased an oven element from you, however more is wrong--I suspect the oven sensor--part # 12001656 I think. Is there a way to confirm if it is the sensor. Oven nor Broil element respond (no oven preheating)... display is stuck on 100 degrees, but the oven clicks as though it is pre-heating... and nothing happens. How many parts could still be the problem? Am I on the right track--thinking about the sensor?

Some details: When the oven went out, I happened to be at home--I heard a sort of clank sound... The oven was not being used at the time. Only later did we discover the bad element. When I replaced the oven element, the bad element was broken (I'd never seen that before). Element was missing a 2 inch section which sat on the floor of the enclosure--totally disconnected from the element. The display and range top and all functions seem to work fine--just miss the oven...

Most likely the problem is a bad control board aka a clock/timer.
