I just installed the new clock assembly part # 71001799 clock came on and was able to set time- push any other function and "fc" flashes and dings. I cut power off and back on- same result. I put old part back in and every thing works fine- except the clock disply is not litt. Is this the correct part? Please Help ! Thanks!

The "FC" error code means "Communication error between boards".

Check the "J2" harness, ohm wires end to end.

If the harness is fine then the display board is defective and has to be exchanged under the part warranty.

You have to call the place where you bought it from.

The part number is correct.

Thanks Gene, bad part alright. Just installed new replacement. Almost every thing OK. All functions work except the "cancel off" function does not work now. I have to dial in "oooo" to cancel baking functions now. Any sugestions? Thanks !

Open the control panel and remove the ribbon from the display board.

Clean the ribbon, using an eraser, and plug it back.

If it would not help then the control panel (membrane switch) has to be replaced.

In order to provide the right part number for the membrane switch I need the color of the control panel.

I have the same problem with the same model Jenn Aire Gas Stove top.
I've replaced the clock circuit board and the Power Circuit board in the back but have two remaining problems.
a) whenever I turn the on any of the 4 gas burners (when the igniter starts clicking) the clock goes blank and then it either resets to a flashing 12 or I get a FC code and alarm. (we've resigned to lighting the burners with matches to prevent this)
b) the cancel button doen not work.

Could there be a short some where in the igniter circuit? Is there any circuit connection between the gas igniters and the clock?

I have the exact same problem on the Jennair SVE47600W Just replaced the same display assembly now nothing works just the fan stays on and no reaction from the key pad and the ribbon is fine any suggestions? did get a F- code once.

I realize that this thread is old, but draxjon, the behavior you describe is when the ribbon cable from the membrane isn't plugged in properly to the clock assembly. There is a little plastic retainer that you need to gently unclip from each end and it will lift a couple of millimeters. Slip the ribbon in all the way until it hits the bottom squarely, then push the plastic retainer down so it clicks. If that doesn't work, it could be that you have a bad membrane or the ribbon was torn during repair.
