GE double stack oven problem
Model Number: ZEK755WP1 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
Intermittently;when turning on the lower oven "bake on" stays lit for a few seconds then it blinks off.The upper oven works fine. I strongly suspect the clock[oven control] is bad as the relay makes a strange buzzing sound when first pushing the "bake" button on the lower oven.The control panel also has some vertical cracks in it;the cost for both parts comes to just over $700. We paid approx. $1140 for this oven new in 1997. QUESTIONS--In your estimation is this oven worth fixing?[it still looks good and works well when it works].Also Debra from your parts dept. wanted me to ask your opinion about getting the control board repaired. Appreciate your help-Duane
